Mr. Miller’s civil practice focuses on complex business litigation, including health and insurance litigation. Mr. Miller has been certified as a specialist in Appellate Law by the State Bar of California. He has argued cases before the California Supreme Court and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and is admitted to the bar of the United States Supreme Court. He has also been appointed to the criminal indigent panels for the Second, Fourth, and Sixth Districts of the California Court of Appeal. Mr. Miller received a B.A. in 1977 from the University of California, Los Angeles, an M.A. in 1978 from the Eagleton Institute of Politics at Rutgers University, and a J.D. in 1985 from the School of Law at the University of California, Davis, where he was Managing Editor of the Law Review and received the American Jurisprudence Award in Constitutional Law. Mr. Miller also served as a Legislative Assistant to the late Congressman Julian C. Dixon. |
